Devonshire and Dorset Regimental Association
Welcome to our website. Our Association exists to preserve the memory of The Devonshire and Dorset Regiment and its forebears, The Devonshire Regiment and The Dorset Regiment, and to maintain the close comradeship that our members found during their service in these remarkable British Army infantry regiments. We also give our staunchest support to the new regiment into which our regiment was merged in 2007; The Rifles, in which the Infantrymen of Devon and Dorset now serve.
Our pages will tell you who we are, how we are organised, with traditional Branches and newer Focal Points, and alert you to our future gatherings and events. There are links to a number of external organisations, including some worthy Service charities. Please note the website of The Keep Military Museum in Dorchester. Here you will find out more about our Regiment’s make-up, history, traditions and artefacts, and our relationship with our two counties.
Our Association is managed through The Rifle's Exeter Office, to where all enquiries should be directed. Contact details can be found below.
Membership of the Association is open to anyone who has served with The Devonshire and Dorset Regiment and its antecedent Regiments. We also extend membership to anyone who is serving or has served in The Rifles, and from those who served with other Rifles antecedent regiments.
If you fall into any of these categories and would like to register as a member, please contact The Rifle's Exeter Office for details of how to apply.
We very much hope you will enjoy learning about our Association.
