For details contact: colinspencer1@ntlworld.com RSA member SSgt Bernie Meehan was an apprentice at Harrogate around 68/69 and graduated as a RTg in 72. His first unit was D Tp, 22 Sigs. Amongst his postings, he spent many years at 14 Sigs (EW) before going on the LS List as a SQMS in Manchester. He is currently due to be medially discharged in April. Last year Bernie suffered a severe stroke that almost cost his life, but he pulled through, but is almost blind. Bernie has had few interests in life, as the Army was/is his life. They have just registered with St Dunstan's. Wendy his wife says 'Bernie is so uplifted when he hears from someone in the Corps he has known and it makes such a difference to his day'. The General Secretary has authorised the Chairman of RSA Branches and of our Affiliated Assns, to sign these certificates for their RSA Life Members, on behalf of HQ Royal Signals Association. Once signed, the certificate must be retained by the individual as it serves as proof of identification if asked. Those members of the RSA who do not belong to a branch, may send their certificate to Assn HQ for signing.
