Welcome to the home page of the Rotherham Branch of the Royal Signals Association

The Rotherham Branch holds a Branch meeting on the second Tuesday of each month. We hold our meetings at the 146 th Workshop R.E.M.E.in the T.A. Centre, Fitzwilliam Road, Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Meetings start at 20.00hrs and last for 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on the amount and type of Business under discussion.

The meetings are conducted by our chairman Colin Shaw, together with our Secretary/Treasurer Keith Bates and our Minute Secretary/BIM Keith Cleary. We meet in the OR,s Mess and usually manage to down one or two pints before and after meetings (the bar is closed during meetings!!).

The Agenda for our meetings includes,

  • Apologies
  • Confirmation of previous meetings minutes.
  • Matters arising.
  • Correspondence.
  • Treasurers Report.
  • Welfare Report.
  • Joint Council(All Sheffield Area ex-service associations can be represented on this committee).The Joint Council report is given by Walter Whiteley who attends all Joint Council meetings.
  • Branch website
  • Any other business

We take the Welfare of members very seriously and members who are ill

Receive a bottle of something,and their spouses flowers. Members or their wives/partners are visited by a member of the Welfare Committee.

The branch is always seeking to recruit new members.Any ex Signaller reading this Web page will be welcome.
