Commemorative Postal Covers

A series of 20 Commemorative Postal Covers with an 'Army Communications' theme are available to collect. Each cover has an illustration linking a communication theme to a military historical event. In each case, the covers have been flown, usually in an aircraft to or over the scene of the event. In one case they were flown in a balloon and in another they were flown in a fly past over Buckingham Palace. Details of the flight are recorded on the outside of each cover and inside is an insert describing both the event and the theme.

The covers are available in three forms. The 'Standard' covers are described above and the 'flown' covers are, in addition, signed by members of the air crew.

'Special' covers are signed by a VIP, usually someone connected in some way with the event or theme. Below is the list of the covers available:
