Football Association

Welcome to the Army Football Association

The Army Football Association is a County Association within the Football Association and is committed to the advancement of Football within the Army at all levels.  Football is the most widely enjoyed game in the Army and the Army Football Association provides administrative support and promotes the game at all levels.
The Army has its own cup competitions, the most prestigious is the Army Challenge Cup for which all units in the Army can play for.  The cup was first won in 1889 and is competed for annually.  Except for periods during the World Wars the cup has been competed for every year and remains one of the oldest competitions in the Army.
The Army Football Association is based in Aldershot, the home of Army sports, and has its offices within the Army Sports Control Board in Clayton Barracks.  There is a full time staff employed to administer the game worldwide and a Management Committee who formulate policy for Army Football in accordance with Football Association Rules and guidelines.
