Patrons

The expedition is most fortunate in having the support of 3 patrons who are committed to its vision. They will provide focus and support both internally to the squad members and externally in terms of profile and assisting in generating wider interest

Sir Chris Bonington CBE			Britain's best known mountaineer, he has led and been on 19 Himalayan expedtions including 4 to Everest, which he climbed in 1985 at the age of fifty. He has made many first ascents in the Alps and greater ranges of the world. Find out more about Sir Chris Bonington here.
Lieutenant General GCM Lamb CMG DSO OBE			Lieutenant General Graeme Lamb CMG DSO OBE is the Deputy Commanding General for the Multi-National Force-Iraq. He is also the UK’s Senior Military Officer in the country. Based in Baghdad, he frequently operates around the country.
Doug Scott CBE			Doug's remarkable mountaineering career includes over 30 expeditions to inner Aisa and he is regarded as one of the world's leading high altitude and big wall climbers. He is best known for his historic first ascent of the South-West face of Everest with Dougal Haston in an expedition led by Chris Bonington. Scott is also remarkable in that half of his climbs are first ascents. Doug climbed Shishapangma with Alex Macintyre in 1982. Find out more about Doug Scott here.
